Ampere ITC offers six KGCE course

1. Radio,television Engineering
2. Refrigeration,Air-Conditioning Engg.
3. Electrical Engg.
4. Automobile Engg.
5. Civil Engg.
6. Mechanical Engg.

Admission to this year batch of the kerala Govt. certificate in engineering(KGCE) has now opened. The scheme of studies and Examination are prepared by department of Technical Education and the final examination is conducted by Controller of Technical Examinations in Kerala Govt. has as per G.O.(ms) No.177/85, dated on 01-08-1985.

QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION

Educational:SSLC or equivalent
Age:Between 15 & 25 Years
Thouh the qualification for admission is SSLC, we only absorb talented, industrious and enthusiastic candidates with satisfactory academic records.

MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION AND EXAMINATION

The medium of instruction as well as that of examination will be both English and Malayalam. Hwever the medium for teaching in the institution will be mother tongue..

COURSE PATTERN

The duration of the course will be two academic years.The institute will work 6 days a week from Monday to Saturday,except on public holidays.The actual working hours per day will be five hours.The academic year will be from 1st July to 3oth April. The months of May and June being the period of annual vacation.The institute will remain closed during Onam & X-mas holidays as notified by the director of technical education.

SYLLABUS

The actual teaching hours per year will be atleast 960.The remaining time available will be utilized for revision exercise,periodical tests and examination and other activities.
In the new syllabus for all branches of KGCE courses as Revision-2003 are now insisting computer studies.
Detailed syllabus can be obtained from the office.This will be given to the student at the time of course open.

ACADEMIC WORK

Practical Work should be done by the pupils only under the immediate supervision of the concerned teacher. Student should invariably maintain neat Logbooks for all practical. They should be regularly valued by the concerned staff and related assessment registers kept systematically.
The institute will conduct periodical test and maintain progress cards and mark registers. At the end of the first year, the institute will conduct an examination on the lines of the KGCE examinations. Candidates who satisfy the requirements of minimum attendance shall however be promoted to the second year class.

ATTENDANCE

Each student should have put in a minimum of 80% attendance in the first year to become eligible for promotion to the second year. He should have put in a minimum of 80% attendance in the lind final year to become eligible for appearance in the KGCE Examination.

SESSION MARKS

An Internal marks system calls session mark is now introduced in KGCE courses from June 2005. These marks obtain 20% of the total marks. Session Mark will be assess by the Institute Authority with the help of subject Instructors. The criteria of Internal marks assessment are the total performance of the trainee which includes merit of study, discipline and obedience etc. are during the training period.

FINAL PUBLIC EXAMINATION

Under each branch, there will be four papers for examination they are tow theory papers, one drawing and one practical. Since the theory papers are limited to two, each one of these papers may cover more than one subject of study in the concerned discipline. Even in the theory papers, the stress will be on the practical aspects and not on theoretical exercise of purely academic nature.

ELECTRICAL WIREMAN LISENCE COURSE

Duration of Electrical Wireman Licence course is one year. The syllabus of the course prescribed by Electrical Inspectorate of Kerala State Electricity Licencing Board. The Subject studies are simple theory as well as practical and give important to much type of wirings. Examination: The Final Examination conducts by Electrical Inspectorate of Kerala State Electricity Board. Electrical Authority will issue the wireman Licence for successors.

ITES COURSES

The courses affiliated by Indian Technical Education Society are maximum one year or less duration. Admission to the batch of 10 months along technical training is also offered. The curriculum for these courses are in a format prepared by the Indian Technical Education Society (Mumbai) and the society itself conducted examination for these courses.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational : No any restricted educational qualification. The suggested minimum qualification for these course in S.S.L.C, However, for a good technically flavoured candidate these criteria can be relaxed under special conditions.
Age Limit : No any restricted age limit. But suggested age limit is between 16 and 25 years.

LANGUAGE OF LEARNING AND EXAMINATION

In the case if ITES exams, you can choose English or any Indian language for the final examination. However, we can assure you that the teachings language does not matter for a right enthusiastic student. The medium for teaching in the institution will be the mother tongue. How ever, notes are given in simple English as English is more convenient language in teaching technology.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Pass in these Diploma Examination are recognized by the Dept. of education, ministry of Human Resourse Development and Union Public Service Commission and it can be used for Higher studies.

MINIMUM ATTENDANCE

The prescribed minimum attendance for ITES course is 80% of total working days.
